ABOUT US

The Lit. Bar opened its doors on April 27, 2019, and has since become the premier literary destination of The Bronx. As an independent bookstore, we foster a love of reading and serve as a hub for literary and community gatherings. Our wine bar bridges the delightful worlds of social sipping and solitary reading, creating a unique space where conversations flow as easily as the wine.

We offer a thoughtfully curated selection of general interest books, unique gift items, and programming that celebrates local interests and diversity for all ages. In addition to our retail offerings, we host events featuring debut to celebrity authors, making The Lit. Bar a vibrant place for book lovers to connect with their favorite writers. Our back-of-house services include a robust B2B program and dynamic community, brand, and media partnerships.
